Genmaicha iri matcha is a high-quality sencha green tea combined with grains of roasted rice (“genmai”) and Moya matcha traditional. Matcha is obtained from the first and second harvest specially shaded from direct sunlight. This results in higher chlorophyll and l-theanine contents and richer, greener color. Rice is specially soaked and steamed before it is dried and roasted. The combination of the sencha leaves, rice and matcha gives genmaicha a characteristic refreshing, slightly nutty flavor, strong aroma and light green color.
Brew one teaspoon of genmaicha (2-3g) in teapot with hot water 70-80 °C for 1-2 minutes. Genmaicha contains low levels of caffeine so it is suitable for drinking at any time of day.
