MARU-KUN MUG

The Maru-kun mug is a unique vessel designed for green tea consumption, traditionally used for Japanese tea ceremony. Made of delicate clay, although simultaneously resistant to damage due to the process of ceramic firing at a temperature of 1150°C, the mug astonishes both with its light weight and durability. The enamel, with which the Maru -kun mug is glazed, is of an incredibly deep, magnetizing violet colour, bringing to mind a peaceful starry night sky. The form of the piece enchants with simplicity and functionality.

The vessel was created as a result of Moya’s cooperation with Baobab studio – a ceramic workshop founded over 10 years ago by Natalia and Olaf. The couple fell in love with the realm of ceramics, which led them to establishing their own studio in the Polish countryside. They treat ceramics not only as a way of living, but also as their biggest passion – which you can tell by the attention and effort put into creation of each and every of their unique pieces.
