Matchawan Seiran<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Seiran matchawan is a handcrafted matcha bowl made from premium porcelain. Its name means “blue wind,” capturing the lightness and delicacy of a form drawn from nature. Gentle ornamentation and a soft, harmonious color palette enhance the quiet ritual of preparing matcha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each bowl in this series is hand-decorated – with gold accents among the finishing touches – making every piece truly unique. The shape is designed for ease of use, allowing you to whisk matcha into a smooth, creamy consistency with effortless control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Seiran matchawan is made at Quiet Form studio in Kyiv, a workshop specializing in handcrafted porcelain. Run by Tania and Alex since 2016, the studio creates ceramics inspired by nature and the changing seasons. Every bowl is fired in Japanese kilns at high temperatures for lasting quality, while the hand-applied decoration gives each piece its own unique character.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Matcha preparation in a bowl<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The traditional way to prepare matcha comes from the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It involves using a matcha bowl, a bamboo whisk- chasen and a bamboo spoon- chashaku. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place 2 chashaku spoons of matcha (1,5g) in a matcha bowl and pour 100ml of hot water (80 \u00b0C). Chasen in hand, vigorously whisk your matcha from the wrist in m-shaped, not circular, motion. In about 20 seconds your bowl should be filled with a perfect jade-green foam. You can add more water now if you like your matcha to be less strong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
