Moya was founded in 2015 by Hitomi Saito, born out of her love for tea. Today, customers worldwide appreciate the quality and taste of our products.
Brand Mission
Since the brand's inception, our mission has been to provide the highest quality Japanese matcha and loose-leaf teas, promote a slow-living lifestyle, and popularize tea-drinking culture.
The matcha and loose-leaf teas in our portfolio are grown in the Uji region of Kyoto Prefecture and in Kagoshima Prefecture. These regions have been known for hundreds of years for cultivating the highest quality green tea—they are famous for their fertile soil and pure waters. Tea there enjoys ideal growing conditions thanks to abundant rainfall, well-sunlit hills, and the fogs that form between them, protecting the delicate tea leaves from frost.
Our teas are carefully cultivated and harvested on small, family-owned, organic tea farms, then locally processed in Japan, hermetically packaged, and shipped under refrigerated conditions to ensure maximum freshness.
