Ice matcha latte
Refreshing, milky, and full of umami, iced matcha latte is a wonderful drink for warm, sunny days. We recommend serving it in a glass, because on top of tasting delicious, matcha with milk looks stunning, creating beautiful green and white layers. For your matcha latte, use your favourite dairy or plant-based milk. We're particularly fond of oat and rice milk – their natural sweetness pairs perfectly with matcha's earthy flavour. Iced matcha is a healthy, green alternative to iced coffee, giving you an energy boost while also adding a dose of antioxidants that support the immune system and help clear toxins from the body. It's a great option for anyone looking to cut down on caffeine from coffee while still wanting a gentle lift. Take a look at the recipe and try making it at home – it's really simple!

Ingredients:
- 3g (1 small teaspoon) Moya Matcha Daily or Moya Matcha Traditional
- 50ml water, no hotter than 70-80°C
- 150ml plant-based drink – we recommend oat or pea milk.
- A few ice cubes
- Something to sweeten it (to taste)
For the perfect Matcha Latte, try Moma oat milk. You'll find them on our website!
Method:
- Get a glass ready, fill it with ice, and pour in your milk of choice – dairy, oat, almond or rice, depending on your preference.
- In a separate container, whisk the matcha with water. You can do this the traditional way, using a chasen whisk, or with an electric milk frother.
- Once there are no lumps left in the mixture and a thick green foam has formed on top, pour the matcha into the glass with the milk. If you want to achieve a two-layer effect, we recommend pouring the beautiful green liquid over the ice cubes.
- You can sweeten the finished drink to taste with your favourite sweetener, maple syrup or honey, and enjoy this delicious, refreshing drink.
