In spring and summer, you can find two types of people. Those who drink iced matcha lattes and the others that choose matcha tonic. The method of preparing the first drink is certainly well known, so this time we are sharing a simple recipe for an unearthly refreshing matcha tonic with a yuzu twist.
Yuzu is a citrus fruit native to East Asia with an intense yellow rind. In size, it is closest to a grapefruit. Its complex flavor can be described as a blend of lime, tangerine and grapefruit flavors, with a subtle pine note. Yuzu is popular in Japan, Korea and China, where it is used not only in cooking, but also in traditional medicine and for skin care.
If you’re looking for a way to refresh your morning routine, this Matcha Yuzu Tonic recipe is made for you! The mildly bitter taste of Moya Matcha Traditional blends perfectly with the slightly sour yuzu, the sweetness of honey and the refreshing bubbles of the tonic.
Preparation of the drink takes no more than 5 minutes, and the state of pleasant surge of energy after matcha can last up to 6 hours.
