…and out of her love for tea. Since the brand’s inception, our mission has been to provide the highest quality Japanese matcha and loose-leaf teas, promote slow living, and popularize tea culture.
Matcha and the leaf teas in our portfolio are grown in the Uji region of Kyoto and Kagoshima prefectures. These regions have been known for hundreds of years for growing green tea of the highest quality. They are famous for their fertile soil and clean waters. Tea that grows there, has ideal growing conditions thanks to ample rainfall, well-sunlit hills and the mists that form between them, which protect the delicate leaves of the bushes from frost. Our teas are carefully grown and harvested on small, family-owned, organic tea fields. They are then locally processed in Japan, hermetically packed and shipped under refrigeration to ensure its ultimate freshness. This helps preserve all the qualities of tea leaves and maintain high levels of minerals and antioxidants.
We work with passion and commitment, combining Japanese and European traditions, so that we can bring the world of teas closer to modern, conscious customers who care about their health and well-being.
Our quality is confirmed by the rigorous standards of the organic certification of the Japanese certification unit JONA, as well as the European organic certificate issued by AgroBioTest. This means that our teas are produced on pesticide-free land, and the entire production and logistics cycle is closely monitored.
The quality and taste of our teas are appreciated by customers around the world. We are constantly working to increase the availability of our products, delivering them to more countries in the European, Asian and African markets.
In the interest of sustainability, we work with local artists and hand crafters who specialize in creating ceramics. Our goal is to create and deliver the highest quality products that are both respectful of Japanese culture and environmentally responsible.
