Moya Matcha Traditional To Go! is Moya Matcha Traditional in a convenient single-serving package. Moya Matcha To Go! is a handy form of organic Moya Matcha Traditional packed in uni-dose sticks that can be prepared hot or cold. Moya Matcha To Go! is packed in boxes containing 24 or 7 sticks with 1,5g of organic matcha in each. It is best mixed in the Moya Matcha glass shaker.
Moya Matcha Traditional is obtained in the 1st and 2nd harvest from tea plants that are specially shaded from direct sunlight. This results in higher chlorophyll and L-Theanine contents and a richer, greener color. The fresh leaves are then collected, dried and ground to powder. Moya Matcha Traditional has a balanced rich bitter-sweet taste, creamy texture and malachite green colour. Its full-bodied flavour makes it ideal to drink on its own but also in lattes, smoothies and lemonades. It can be prepared traditionally in a matcha bowl (matchawan) or in a shaker.

Moya Matcha Traditional comes from the first and second harvest of fresh tea leaves, grown under special bamboo mats that provide shade. This process increases the leaves’ chlorophyll and L-theanine content, giving them an intense green color. Moya Matcha Traditional is grown in the Uji and Kagoshima regions, known for the cultivation of highest quality green tea for over 800 years. The regions are famous for its fertile soils and clean water. The green tea plants there have ideal conditions for growth thanks to hills providing good sunlight, frequent mists that protect delicate leaves from frost and high amount of rainfall. Moya Matcha is meticulously cultivated and harvested on small family-owned organic tea fields. It is then processed locally in Japan and dispatched in small batches to assure peak freshness for all our grades. This helps preserve all the qualities of the tea leaf and maintain high levels of minerals and antioxidants.

- Pour a Moya Matcha To Go! sachet into a bowl or mug and add a small amount of warm or cold water.
- Mix vigorously until all the matcha has dissolved and a characteristic thick foam forms on the surface.
- Slowly add water to make up a portion of about 200 ml. Your matcha is now ready to drink — enjoy!
To prepare Matcha To Go! in a different vessel, you can use a traditional bamboo chasen or a hand milk frother.

We suggest three ways to prepare matcha. The first is the traditional preparation in a bowl using a chasen whisk, using “M” or “Z” shaped motions. Matcha can also be prepared in a mug or bowl using a milk frother. The third way is to prepare matcha in a shaker or bottle – simply add the matcha to the liquid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. The optimal water temperature for matcha is approximately 80°C. Higher temperatures will cause the matcha to lose its nutritional value. You can also easily prepare matcha in cold water. The optimal amount of matcha is about 1.5 g of powder per 200-250 ml of liquid.
The most versatile and frequently chosen option is Traditional Matcha. It comes from the first and second harvest of leaves, which contributes to a moderate level of bitterness and a distinct umami taste. It is an excellent choice for drinking with water as well as in the form of matcha lattes and smoothies. For experienced matcha connoisseurs, we recommend Luxury Matcha from the first harvest, which is perfect for drinking with water and contains the most nutrients. If you like an intense flavor and use matcha mostly for matcha lattes, smoothies, desserts, and baked goods, choose Daily Matcha, which comes from the second and third harvest.
Matcha is very sensitive to sunlight and high temperatures, which can cause it to lose its properties. Matcha should be stored in its original, sealed packaging in a shaded, cool place, preferably in the refrigerator. This will ensure it stays fresh for a long time.
Loose-leaf tea is consumed as an infusion, meaning what the leaves release into the water. Matcha, on the other hand, consists of powdered tea leaves that are consumed in their entirety after being mixed with liquid. By drinking matcha, you are therefore consuming the whole leaves. In this way, all the nutrients contained within them enter your body. Furthermore, matcha is several times more potent than loose-leaf tea.
