MURA JAPANESE TEAPOT
The Mura teapot is a traditional Japanese vessel for brewing loose-leaf tea with a distinctive side handle. The teapot is equipped with a removable metal strainer that keeps the tea leaves inside when pouring into a cup. The word “mura” literally translated means “village”. In Japan, from ancient times, the village has been the basic organizational unit and the only place where old traditions and beliefs are still cultivated, allowing people to connect with nature, which the Japanese hold dear. Time in the countryside runs according to the seasons of flowering, harvesting crops, and sowing. The Mura teapot is our homage to the peaceful life in harmony with nature.
