RIBU JAPANESE TEAPOT
The traditional Ribu teapot is covered with fine stripes in beautiful shades of blue. This pattern inspired the name Ribu, meaning ‘zebra’ in Japanese. The teapot is completed with a light-coloured handle, thanks to which you can easily pour the brew into the teacup of your choice. A metal strainer inside the teapot separates the tea leaves from the liquid. The Ribu teapot was made in Japan on the Honshu island in the city of Toki, famous for manufacturing traditional Shino pottery. First, the vessel is shaped with a mould. Then the final shape and patterns are handcrafted, therefore teapots may be slightly different from each other.
