The Josei teapot was designed by the Kraków studio KOOE with loose-leaf tea brewing in mind. It is wheel-thrown from light stoneware, fired at a high temperature, and fully glazed with a glaze created according to a traditional Japanese recipe.
It features a comfortable handle and a stainless-steel strainer inside, preventing tea leaves from getting into the cup. The light grey glaze gives it a minimalist character. The teapot is perfect for everyday preparation of your favourite loose-leaf tea.
Place the appropriate amount of tea leaves inside and brew according to the instructions on the package. Pour the brewed tea into your favourite cup or bowl. Re-infuse the used leaves or discard them in organic waste.
The Josei tea cup is handmade on a potter’s wheel. It is crafted from grey clay with a subtle addition of chamotte and glazed using a finish created in accordance with centuries-old Japanese tradition. It is designed for drinking loose-leaf tea as well as any cold or hot beverages. It is also suitable for enjoying matcha prepared with a milk frother. It makes a versatile gift for even the most discerning lovers of tea and ceramics.
The Josei cup was created as a limited series for MOYA by the Kraków ceramic studio KOOE. KOOE pieces are known for their beautiful forms and exceptional durability thanks to high-temperature firing. Each Josei cup is wheel-thrown and hand-glazed, so its appearance may vary slightly from the one shown in the photos.
