Recipe for Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte
Preparing the pumpkin puree:
Cut the pumpkin into small pieces. Drizzle with olive oil and place in an oven preheated to 200°C. Bake for an hour. Then, let it cool, peel the pumpkin, and blend the flesh or mash it with a fork in a bowl.
Preparing the Pumpkin Spice Matcha Latte:
Mix the pumpkin puree with maple syrup and a blend of holiday spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves). Warm it up in a saucepan, do not let it boil. Prepare the matcha with water as usual, preferably using a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a milk frother. Pour the pumpkin puree into a glass and spread it along the bottom with a spoon. Then, add the milk or any plant-based milk, and finally, pour in the prepared matcha. Try to pour the milk and matcha slowly, preferably along the side of the glass, to achieve a layered effect. Enjoy! Itadakimasu!
