Matcha Preparation

Preparing the matcha tea is not difficult, time-consuming, nor does it require any special skills. It is a fine powder that should be mixed with water. For this purpose, you can use both traditional bamboo whisk (chasen) and electric milk frother.

The traditional method of making the matcha tea comes from the Japanese tea ceremony (chanoyu). To prepare the drink, we need a bowl (chawan), a bamboo whisk (chasen) and a bamboo scoop (chashaku).

Put two bamboo scoops of matcha into a bowl, pour 100 ml of hot water (80 °C) and whisk vigorously with a whisk until a dense green foam is formed.
